Work Details

As part of preventative network maintenance, we will be performing diagnostics on a redundant dark fibre path that has exhibited degraded optical signal levels.

To facilitate testing, traffic will be temporarily redistributed across alternate LAG members while the affected path is isolated and evaluated. Additional links will be added to the LAG prior to testing to maintain available capacity during the maintenance window.

Expected Impact

No service impact is expected. Additional capacity will be added to the affected link aggregation group prior to testing, and no reduction in available bandwidth is anticipated.

During the maintenance window, traffic will temporarily operate over a single fibre path while diagnostics are performed on the redundant path. As a result, network path redundancy will be temporarily reduced until testing is complete.

Additional Information

Every step will be taken to minimize risk and complete the diagnostic work as quickly as possible. Connectivity and link performance will be monitored throughout the maintenance.
